We are currently seeking a Environmental Risk Advisor to join our team. This position is remote with travel to headquarters as needed.


  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, interpreting and converting environmental due diligence, environmental compliance and other environmental data associated with commercial real estate transactions into recommendations, risk management actions or mitigation strategies to address environmental risk and potential liability.
  • Ensure that the company is complying with applicable laws, regulations and requirements.
  • Provides recommendations to officers in structuring client credit with respect to environmental risk and liability.
  • Interacts with various departments, clients and environmental service professionals with regards to environmental due diligence and reports.
  • Writes reports that describes the review findings and makes recommendations.
  • May provide environmental training within the bank to develop working knowledge of environmental issues associated with commercial lending.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, environmental sciences, engineering or related field
  • 6+ years the environmental and/or banking industries or other directly related experience.
  • Working knowledge of phase 1 environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, environmental compliance and regulatory laws and issues related to the department and/or company.
  • Knowledge of commercial lending practices.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze, identify, summarize relevant information and solve problems or issues.
  • Must be detail oriented and a self-starter.
  • Requires strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet or other related software programs.
  • Will require some travel.
