Zions Bancorporation is currently accepting applications for an Information Reporting Specialist to work remotely in AZ, CA, CO, ID, NV, or TX. If you live in Utah, you will be required to come into the office at least 1 day a week. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:30 am-6:00 pm MST.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Be responsible to perform IRS information reporting and applicable state reporting for the corporation, which includes year end 1099, 1098,1042, 5498, 945, W-8BEN non-resident alien certifications and recertification process, IRS B-notices and C-notices.
- Process regular federal and state backup withholding payments and applicable reporting to the IRS.
- Process, update, and reactivate customer account information related to Unclaimed Property (Dormant / Escheated accounts).
- Validate completeness and accuracy of all documents received.
- Identify errors and make corrections in the system.
- Ensure compliance of federal and state back-up withholding requirements, as well as, applicable state laws governing unclaimed property.
- Ensure notices are printed and mailed at appropriate times.
- Review monthly reports for address and other required changes.
- Maintain files of required forms.
- Assist employees and department with compliance concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School degree or equivalent and 1+ years of banking or bank operations experience.
- Associates degree in finance or business preferred.
- Information reporting experience desired.
- Working knowledge of banking, bank operations processes and procedures and information reporting systems.
- Basic knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues related to the department and/or company.
- Must have good problem solving, analysis, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to ensure records are accurate and updated.
- Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline.

Pay range (depending on experience and location): $19.00-$22.00
