We are seeking a Lending Supervisor to join Zions Bancorporation. The Lending Supervisor plays a key role in leading and supporting a team responsible for lending processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position is instrumental in resolving complex lending issues, managing risk, and implementing departmental policies to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will leverage strong supervisory, analytical, and interpersonal skills to monitor operations, assign tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the daily activities of the lending team/unit, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to policies.
  • Assign tasks, monitor work, and provide direction to team members to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development support to team members to build capability and ensure consistent performance.
  • Resolve lending processing and documentation issues, utilizing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Implement and enforce departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage risk within the lending area, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments and interact with management on cross-functional matters.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication, approachability, and in-depth knowledge of lending processes.
  • Develop creative solutions to operational challenges, using sound judgment within broadly defined policies.
  • Prepare and review reports related to lending operations and performance.
  • Perform leadership duties for the assigned business function area and act as manager in their absence.

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in lending processes and procedures, banking, finance, or other directly related experience.
  • Supervisory and/or office management experience required.
  • Working knowledge of lending processes, procedures, loan regulations, and loan systems.
  • Strong problem resolution, research, auditing, and analysis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and loan systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to write reports and manage risk for the area.
  • Effective communication skills for both internal and external client interactions.

Work Location: This position is fully in office (5 days a week) from the following office locations:

  • Midvale, UT
  • Houston, TX
